Tesla Canada has just rolled out a new Full Self-Driving (Supervised) update — version 14.1.2, introducing an all-new “Mad Max” speed profile for drivers who prefer a more assertive and dynamic driving experience. The update is part of software build 2025.32.8.10 and is gradually reaching early-access users.
What Is the New “Mad Max” Profile?
The new Mad Max driving profile goes beyond the existing “Hurry” setting by allowing for higher speeds, quicker acceleration, and more frequent lane changes. It gives Tesla drivers a more confident and energetic feel on busy highways.
According to early FSD v14 testers, the Mad Max mode works particularly well in heavy city traffic, such as Toronto rush hour, maintaining steady high speeds and overtaking slower vehicles efficiently.

However, drivers should note that in less congested areas, the new mode can feel overly aggressive — easily reaching 85 mph (137 km/h) on highways and sometimes exceeding local speed limits on open roads.

Why This Matters for Tesla and Used Tesla Owners in Canada
For drivers in Canada — especially those shopping for a used Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S, or Model X — this update demonstrates how Tesla continues improving its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system even on older vehicles.
Even if you’re driving a used Tesla purchased years ago, software updates like this can enhance performance, driving comfort, and resale value, making Tesla vehicles among the most future-proof cars in the used-car market.
If you’re exploring options to buy a used Tesla in Canada, keep an eye out for vehicles with FSD capability or hardware compatible with the latest FSD v14 features. These vehicles may offer a better long-term driving experience and value retention.
What’s Next?
Earlier in the day, Tesla’s Autopilot Chief Ashok Elluswamy hinted on X (formerly Twitter) that a “long-awaited” feature was coming in this FSD release — many speculated it might be the rumoured “Banish Mode”. However, that feature didn’t make it into this version.
This is already Tesla’s third FSD software release in just over a week, though v14 remains available only to early-access users, a few of whom are located here in Canada.
