Higher Price! Updated Tesla Model S and Model X now available in Canada!

Tesla has refreshed its vehicle lineup in Canada, officially bringing the updated Tesla Model S for sale and Tesla Model X for sale to Canadian buyers. While the new designs of these premium EVs are now available, their prices have unfortunately increased by as much as $9,000.

Enhanced Full Self-Driving (FSD) performance

The updated Model S and Model X were first introduced in the U.S. in June. The refresh focused on subtle improvements to efficiency, ride comfort, and interior refinement rather than drastic powertrain changes. Both models now include a new front bumper camera for improved visibility and potentially enhanced Full Self-Driving (FSD) performance.

Exterior change – new paint options

Exterior changes were minimal but include new paint options like Frost Blue Metallic and Diamond Black, updated wheel designs, and exclusive front and rear bumper designs for the Model S Plaid. However, the refresh in the U.S. also brought a $5,000 price increase across all trims.

Now in Canada, the new pricing looks like this:

Tesla Model S for sale (AWD) starts at $139,990 (+$6,000)
Tesla Model S Plaid: $159,990 (+$5,000)
Tesla Model X for sale (AWD) starts at $149,990 (+$9,000)
Tesla Model X Plaid: $169,990 (+$8,000)

Frost Blue Metallic and Diamond Black paint options are also available for both models.

These higher prices come as Tesla also lowered the price of the Model Y AWD in Canada by $20,000, likely due to the SUV now being imported from Giga Berlin to avoid tariffs.

For shoppers comparing options, the Canadian market also offers a variety of used Model S and used Model X vehicles, which can provide strong value for those who want the premium Tesla experience without the new higher price tags.
