It’s good for everyday practical driving, and with an affordable price tag of $41,599, it’s also qualified for the $5,000 federal incentives.

Electric Range: 246 Kilometers 

The i3 is well worth considering if you are looking for an electric car that has a stylish and upscale interior. With a base MSRP of $44,450, the i3 can be an attractive and affordable opinion. The i3 can be ordered with an optional gasoline-powered engine to provide an additional range, which is good for drivers who don’t trust running on electricity alone. Pricing starts at $44,450 before the federal $5,000 rebate, plus provincial go-green incentives as high as $8,000.

Tesla Model 3

Base MSRP: $56,390 

Electric Range: 423 Kilometers 

Tesla Model 3 is the cheapest Tesla model available in Canada. It’s a high-performance electric car with a long-distance driving range, while its price tag is set on an affordable level, it’s an attractive option for EV shoppers. You also can level up to a Model 3 that is built with dual-motor AWD, long-range for $65,000, and $75,000 for electric-powered performance.

However, due to the price increase, the 2021 and 2022 Tesla Model 3 will no longer be eligible for the electric car rebate in Canada.
