Audi A6 E-Tron
The Audi A6 e-tron is one of the upcoming EVs that just a concept, but Audi claims it is very close to what the real vehicle will look like. It is built on the scalable Premium Platform Electric (PPE) design, which can be expanded, elevated, and enlarged to accommodate a wide range of EV models. It will be marketed alongside the gas-powered A6 and will enter Audi’s portfolio with the PPE-based Q6 e-tron crossover. Two electric motors with a total output of 469 horsepower power the A6 e-tron concept. All PPE cars have an 800-volt charging capacity, and this upcoming EV may have a range of up to 640 km on a single charge.
Audi Q6 E-Tron
The first car in Audi’s lineup to use the Premium Platform Electric architecture—which it co-developed with Porsche—will be the Q6 e-tron. The Q6 e-tron will join the Q4 and Q8 e-tron crossovers in Audi’s electric SUV portfolio, riding on the same PPE architecture as underlies the future Porsche Macan EV.
A 93.0-kWh battery should give up to 490 km of range, and the 800-volt system allows for quick charging. This translates to a substantially greater maximum charging rate of 270 kW as opposed to the Q4 and Q8 e-tron’s 150-kW limit. The 93-kWh battery pack is anticipated to charge from 10% to 80% in roughly 30 minutes when plugged into a powerful station. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive Q6 e-tron generates 375 horsepower, while the sportier SQ6 e-tron generates 482 horses, with a boost mode adding around 20 hp to each model.
Cadillac Escalade iQ
The Cadillac Escalade, the large, bombastic SUV beloved among rappers like Jay-Z and 50 Cent, is getting an electrified makeover with the new Escalade iQ. Fortunately, less pricey Sierra EV variants will be available in 2025. This is the answer from GMC to other pickup trucks in the EV market like Rivian.
Honda Prologue
Honda presently does not offer a completely electric vehicle in Canada, but that is about to change. The Honda Prologue is a mid-size SUV that will be upcoming in 2024 and will be around the same size as the Passport.

Jeep Wrangler EV
Jeep presently offers a plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe, but the automaker has now teased a fully electric Wrangler off-road SUV. Lucid claims “supercar performance” here, which is not surprising given that certain Air models produce up to 1200 horsepower. The new and upcoming EV SUV from Lucid could rival the Tesla Model X plaid.
Polestar 3
Polestar is following up on the Polestar 1 and the Polestar 2 with the Polestar 3, which will arrive in Q3 2023. The Polestar 3 will be a crossover and pack up to 517 hp with the performance pack or up to 480 km of range without it.
The Polestar 3 will spearhead the brand’s ambitious plans to increase sales tenfold. This upcoming EV will round up nicely the current Polestar lineup with the SUV they were missing.
Porsche Macan EV
Porsche wants EVs to account for more than 80% of company sales by 2030, and the new Macan upcoming EVs will help them get there. The electric version of Porsche’s famous SUV, the first to ride on the PPE platform, will employ an 800-volt design to assist in recharging the battery from 5% to 80% in under 25 minutes.
Porsche Macan EV should also be rather speedy, with a maximum of 603 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque available with rear- or all-wheel drive. Porsche has revealed several further details regarding the Macan EV ahead of its planned presentation in 2023, with deliveries beginning in 2024.
